Adolescent Therapy
Support for Teens Ages 12-17
Now Accepting InsuranceBeing a teenager today isn't easy. Between social pressure, academic stress, identity questions, and the constant noise of social media, it can feel like a lot — even on a good day. If your teen seems withdrawn, anxious, angry, or just different than they used to be, you're not imagining it, and you're not alone.
Adolescent therapy offers a space where teens can actually talk — not to parents, not to teachers, but to someone who's genuinely in their corner. I work with teens ages 12 and up in a warm, non-judgmental environment where they can explore what they're feeling, build skills for managing the hard stuff, and start to understand themselves a little better.
I work with adolescents on a range of concerns, including anxiety and worry, depression and low mood, identity and self-esteem, friendship and social struggles, school stress and perfectionism, family conflict, and big life transitions like divorce, moving, or loss.
I use approaches like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS) to help teens connect with their inner world in a way that actually makes sense to them. Therapy with teens looks different than with adults — it's often more creative, more conversational, and at their pace.
Parents play an important role too. While sessions are confidential (within safety limits), I'll keep you informed and involved in ways that support your teen's progress without undermining the trust we're building together.
If your teenager is struggling and you're not sure where to turn, reaching out for support is a brave and loving step.
Ready to take the first step? I'd love to connect.
