Client Fee & Insurance
Transparent pricing and flexible options, so taking the next step feels a little easier.
Accepting Insurance
I'm proud to be in-network with several major insurance providers, making quality therapy more accessible for those who want to use their benefits.
Currently accepted insurance plans:
Aetna
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas
Cigna / Evernorth
Ascension (SmartHealth)
Carelon Behavioral Health
Insurance coverage varies by plan. I encourage you to verify your mental health benefits before your first appointment.
Don't See Your Insurance Listed?
Your plan may still have out-of-network (OON) benefits, which means your insurance could reimburse you for a significant portion of your session cost. I've partnered with Thrizer to handle the out-of-network process automatically — no superbills to submit, no waiting on reimbursement checks to figure out what you owe. Once you meet your deductible, you may even have the option to pay a reduced fee upfront rather than my full session rate.
Use the widget below to check whether you have OON benefits and your expected fee.
Self-Pay Rates
For clients who prefer not to use insurance, whose plans I don't accept, or who want additional flexibility, self-pay options are available.
50-minute session rates:
$105 for individuals
$125 for couples/families
$175 for individuals or couples/families that require sessions outside of normal business hours (Monday-Thursday 10 am - 6 pm).
A Note on Using Your Benefits
Using insurance can make therapy significantly more affordable, and I want you to have access to the support you deserve. One thing to be aware of: when billing through insurance, I am required to provide a mental health diagnosis, which becomes part of your permanent medical record. This is a standard requirement for all insurance-based mental health services — not unique to my practice — but it's something worth considering as you decide what's right for you.
If privacy is a priority, or if you're coming to therapy for personal growth, relationship enrichment, or life transitions rather than a clinical concern, self-pay may be a better fit. Either way, I'm here to help you think through what makes the most sense for your situation. Feel free to reach out with any questions before booking.

Ready to Get Started?
I'm so glad you're here. Taking the first step toward therapy is brave, and I want the process of getting started to feel as simple as possible.
Getting started looks the same for everyone — begin here:
Visit my SimplePractice Client Portal to request an appointment, and the intake paperwork will be emailed later. This is my client portal where your full file is maintained, and all new clients are required to complete intake paperwork before their first session.
Upload a photo of the front and back of your insurance card (if applicable) through the portal at the time you request services, or any time before your first session (go to Documents > My Uploads).
That's it for now — I'll be in touch to confirm your appointment and let you know if any additional steps apply to you.
If You're Using an Accepted Insurance Plan
Once I receive your insurance card, I'll verify your benefits and handle the billing routing on my end. You don't need to figure out which platform processes your plan — I take care of that.
One additional step may apply: if your plan is processed through Headway — my billing partner for select insurance plans (Aetna, Cigna, Ascension & Carelon) — you will receive a separate email from them to complete a short authorization allowing them to bill on your behalf. This must be completed before billing can begin.
Please note: if you have questions about your estimated cost before booking, you can log in to your insurance member portal or call the number on the back of your card to check your mental health benefits.
If You're Paying Out of Pocket
No insurance card needed — just complete your intake paperwork through SimplePractice and you're all set. If you'd like to explore whether your plan has out-of-network benefits that could offset your cost, I've partnered with Thrizer to handle that process automatically. Reach out, and I can help you look into it.

I'm happy to help you figure out the best path forward before you take that first step.
