More about me
I earned my B.S. in Psychology from Texas A&M University, College Station, and my M.Ed. in Counseling and Development, with a focus on Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling, from Lamar University. I am licensed as a Marriage & Family Therapist in Texas.
I have completed training in:
Emotionally Focused Therapy - this is considered the gold standard of couples therapy (I am working towards certification).
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy
Internal Family Systems
Emotional Freedom Technique (tapping) & Advanced Tapping for Trauma
Dialectical Behavior Therapy
Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
Three things about me:
Change is possible. I'm filled with hope and a deep belief that we can each build a life marked by love, acceptance, and peace. My own journey of transformation has been rooted in my faith—Jesus Christ's love has shaped who I am and how I show up for others. I know firsthand that real change happens when we're willing to do the work. It's not always easy, but therapy can be truly transformational.
I've been a helper my whole life. For as long as I can remember, people have felt safe sharing their struggles with me. It's an honor I don't take lightly. I have a knack for seeing the bigger picture, spotting patterns that aren't always obvious, and creating approaches that fit each person's unique story.
I'm a lifelong learner and beach lover. I've been married to my wonderful husband for 30 years, and together we've blended a beautiful family—two stepchildren and five grandchildren who bring us endless joy. When I'm not in the office, you'll likely find me at the beach, spending time with our dogs, or diving into a good book. I'm endlessly curious about people, life, and how we all grow.
